 VOILADOC APLICATION 

What is Voiladoc app?

Voiladoc is an application that connects patients with licensed healthcare professionals 24/7. Voiladoc is your healthcare concierge where you can talk to a doctor or get a healthcare professional to visit your home, manage your medical records safely and securely and browse through our marketplace for all your healthcare needs.

Why do patients use Voiladoc?

Patients use Voiladoc to consult a healthcare professional for their primary and secondary care needs. Teleconsultation allows different medical procedures:

  • establish a diagnosis and prescribe an adequate treatment, 

  • provide follow-up for patients with chronic diseases or post-therapeutic follow-up,

  • obtain a second opinion with a view to a therapeutic decision,

  • be prescribed medicine and prescription refills.

Do I need to be 18 years old to have an account?

Yes, but you can still have a teleconsultation if your parents or relatives have included you in their family tree.

How do I create a Voiladoc account?

It’s easy! If you’re a new user, the first thing you’ll do is download Voiladoc from your App Store for iPhone or Google Play if you are using an Android phone. Once the app is installed on your mobile phone, you will get prompts asking to allow the app to access your camera and location. You can then look around the app. If you are happy with the services you see and if you are ready to book a service, you will be directed to a login page. You need to provide your mobile phone number and click submit. As a security precaution, you will be sent a one-time-pin (OTP) by SMS. Enter this OTP, and you are now authenticated. 
We do require some very basic information like your name, address, email address, etc. During this time, you will be prompted to read our privacy policy which will explain why we need this information and how we use it. You will then be required to accept the terms and conditions. If you do not feel comfortable you can opt-out and you will not be able to use the Voiladoc service.
You are now registered. The whole process takes a few minutes.

How does Voiladoc work?

Once the registration is done, to consult a doctor you have 3 possibilities:
1/ Click “Video call” to speak to a doctor immediately.
2/ If there are no doctor available or you want to schedule a videocall at your preferred time, click “schedule later”.
3/ Schedule an appointment for an in-clinic visit. 


For the video call, you will be prompted to submit your symptoms based on a predetermined list or you can write down what’s bothering you. You can even upload an image or a video of your condition. The healthcare provider will receive your request, and let you know when they’ll be ready to see you. Once you accept the visit, you’ll be connected to your provider via a 2-way video from your smartphone. Your provider will review your chart, answer your questions and, if needed, send a prescription to your preferred pharmacy. You can pick the medicine yourself or have them delivered to you.

 DOCTOR AND TREATMENT 

How can my doctor treat me without physically being at the clinic?

Your healthcare provider can evaluate, diagnose and treat many common medical conditions through reviewing your past medical history, lab results and imaging studies, discussing your current symptoms, viewing your uploaded images and interacting with you one-on-one through our two way video link.  If your condition requires your provider to perform a physical exam, an in-person appointment can be arranged.

Can my provider prescribe medication?

Yes. If your provider decides you need treatment with a medication, he or she will send your prescription electronically to you and the nearest pharmacy. You will then be able to review it on your Voiladoc app and access your consultation report

Can Voiladoc be used for medical emergencies?

No, Voiladoc shouldn’t be used for emergency medical care. If you have a medical emergency, please dial your local emergency medical services immediately.

What conditions can my doctor treat via the Voiladoc app?

Providers can use the Voiladoc app to treat and manage a wide variety of conditions. Our doctors are using the Voiladoc app to see patients with abrasions, acne, allergies, anxiety, asthma, nasal congestion, sinus infection, sore throat, cough, flu, fever, bronchitis, bites and stings, bruises, dehydration, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, earache, gout, headaches, hives, insomnia, itching eyes, pink eye, eye infections, skin infections, sprains and strains, urinary tract infections, yeast infections and many other common illnesses.

I want to make a video call now. Can I select the specialty?

You will be prompted to select the specialty of the doctor you want to see. If there is a doctor available in your selected specialty, you can make a video call now. Otherwise you can make an appointment for a video call later at your convenience with the doctor of your choice.

I need a referral letter to see a specialist or a prescription to do exams. Can I get it from the doctor?

Yes, you can get a referral letter for laboratory testing or to see a specialist. Upon completion of the video call, the referral letter will be available on Voiladoc mobile app.

Can I get a medical certificate from the doctor on the call?

Yes, if you condition requires a medical certificate, your doctor will issue you one that will be available in the app.

Can the doctor on the video call provide prescription for my ailment?

Yes. Depending on your ailment, the doctor can prescribe medication the same way as an in-clinic doctor. Once the consultation is done, the doctor prepares your prescription that you can view on the app.

How do I get my medicine? Do you provide any delivery service?

Once the doctor issues your prescription, you will have the option of picking up your medicine at the pharmacy of your choice or choose to get it delivered to your home. If needed the app can indicate the nearest pharmacy.  

Can I set up a video call for my child?

Once you register on Voiladoc app, on the main menu you can select “Family tree”. Here you can choose to provide information on any of your family members (husband/children/relatives). When booking your call, you can indicate that the call will be for your child.

What if my case is unsuitable for a video consultation?

Your doctor will tell you immediately that you cannot be treated by video consultation, your payment will be reimbursed in your wallet. You can opt to book for an in-clinic visit with our app.

I want to see the same doctor is it possible?

If you want to see the same doctor and he / she is not available for immediate consultation you can book for an available time slot. 

 SECURITY AND PRIVACY 

How secured is my personal information (my consultations and medical history datas) on Voiladoc platform?

Privacy is an integral part of our services and we strictly comply with industry health data protection standards and directives such as the HIPAA law in the United States and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Voiladoc is hosted by Microsoft Azure in France (HDS and HIPAA certified) on dedicated servers.
HIPAA Privacy regulations require healthcare providers and service providers to develop and follow procedures that ensure the confidentiality and security of protected health information (PHI) when it is transferred, received, handled, or shared.  As an added security measure, we store your personal data, medical and consultation activity in a separate location within the database to prevent from any external hacking. Furthermore, only the minimum health information necessary to conduct specific action is used or shared. 

How is my medical information secure?

We employ 256-bit encrypted secure SSL certificate for all calls from app to database. To protect the confidentiality and integrity of patient information, all information is strictly managed and stored under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) compliance environment.

 DEVICES AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE 

Do I need any special equipment to use the Voiladoc app?

You only need a mobile device (tablet or smartphone) connected to the internet via a mobile data plan or on a wifi broadband network. The device should have a camera and a location service.

I’m not very tech-savvy. Is Voiladoc still for me?

Yes! The Voiladoc app was designed to be very user-friendly. Imagine Instagram, Facebook and Skype with added security to give you and your provider a safe and private channel to have a successful consultation.

PAYMENT

How do I pay for my consultation?

You can pay using your credit card one consultation at a time or you can top up your wallet and have the amount of your consultation or any service on Voiladoc deducted from it.

I have money in my wallet, can I cash it?

No, this is not possible.

My relatives want to pay for my consultation, is it possible?

We are working on it, it will be available soon.

Is my banking information stored on the Voiladoc app?

No, for security reasons you will have to enter your card details with each payment
